Long ago Sun Valley positioned itself as the place to learn to ski. With the invention of the world’s first chairlift, skiers of all levels flooded to Sun Valley to learn to ski and perfect their technique.
Today the tradition continues with a high percentage of expert skiers/snowboarders enrolling in the Sun Valley Ski and Snowboard School, one of the most highly acclaimed schools in the country.
We have two separate mountains, Dollar Mountain and Bald Mountain, allowing students to learn, improve, and enjoy lessons on a mountain with skiers and snowboarders of similar abilities. Skiers and snowboarders of beginning to low intermediate levels will improve their skills on the gentle, treeless terrain of Dollar Mountain providing them with the perfect environment to learn. Skiers and snowboarders of intermediate and expert levels will take lessons on Bald Mountain and will find themselves matched with instructors who will offer a challenge in a relaxed and supportive learning atmosphere.

Children’s Camp - Group Lessons – Ski camps for ages 4-12 or Snowboard camps for ages 6-12.
Children: Ages 3 & Under – Programs for younger children.
Adult Group Clinics – Morning ski & snowboard clinics for adults and teens.
Private Instruction – Private Lessons offered to skiers and snowboarders of all ages and abilities.
Adaptive Instruction – Lessons for students with physical and/or developmental disabilities.
Women’s Clinic – Special Women’s clinic held in February for intermediate to expert skiers.
Mountain Masters – Nine-week Masters program for intermediate and advanced skiers.
Masters’ Race Clinics – Daily or weekly options for skiers interested in racing.
Free Ride Team – Non-competition ski & snowboard team. Age 6 through high school.
Local’s Adult Clinic – Special clinic held for local adults of all levels and abilities.
Local’s SnowSports Camp K-6 – Special 3 week camp for local children K-6th grade.
